Whilst this is a website that celebrates dogs and the wonderful relationship we humans have with dogs, I have decided to add a few videos that look at the question of man’s cruelty to dogs.

I don’t want to dwell on this or bring the mood down, instead I want to shine a bit more light on some of the great organisations that are there day in and day out looking out for the welfare of dogs. I, for one, am thankful that these organisation are there ready to bring the full weight of the law to bear on those who mistreat such wonderful animals.

I won’t show anything too graphic, but as dog owners we need to be ready to face up to this sort of thing and know where to turn if we come across such abuses.

Today I have a video from the Humane Society that looks at the dogs they found when they broke up a dog fighting ring in Indiana. What is so touching is that even those these dogs have been so badly mistreated and lived in an aggressive environment, once they are unchained they just want to be loved and have their tummy tickled.
